OUTSIDERS — Meme Card #347

The pinnacle artwork of Memes Outside Chapter 1. The same hand, the same streets, but so much has changed. OUTSIDERS was made in deliberate collaboration with the Sydney muralist Nhung Le, whose work appears on the wall. Where Memes Outside photographed street art without seeking permission and published coordinates to the art, OUTSIDERS is a true collaboration with an artist who had never before touched a blockchain.

This card was the first artwork by a new artist to join The Memes by 6529 when curation was handed over to the community in Szn11. It was both created by and created for the OUTSIDERS community. OUTSIDERS became the cover of the second edition of the Memes Outside book, both editions of which are held in the Australian National Library and distributed globally at cost. Every copy of the second edition sold anywhere in the world carries this image on its cover. The hypothesis of CC0: art accrues value by being visible, not by being scarce.
